I’ve been on the Board of Oldham Athletic F.C. for three seasons now – working with the inspirational owners – Frank, Luke and Sue Rothwell, Oldham legend Joe Royle and the hardworking, brilliantly innovative CEO Darren Royle.

Last year we won at Wembley to get back into the UK National League (ref KR Connect 3 June 2025).

And this year – following the more widely known Ryan Reynolds owned Wrexham F.C. – we’re finding our feet in the highly competitive Division Two of the League.

It’s been a solid season so far.  Thanks to some superb performances by our street-fighting Glaswegian / Spartan Manager – Micky Mellon.  The epitome of True Grit.
