World Class Cumbria

Six years ago (November 2 2019), I wrote about my tiny home county – Cumbria – and its newly acquired status as a foodie destination – with more Michelin starred restaurants than any county outside Greater London. There were seven restaurants with eight Michelin stars at the time – twice as many as London per head of population.
The 2025 Michelin Guide was published recently – and WOW!!!
Success breeds success.
Momentum breeds momentum.
Confidence breeds confidence.
Great Chefs breed Great Chefs!!
We now have 13 starred restaurants, with a total of 15 stars (thanks to Simon Rogan’s 3 star L’Enclume in Cartmel).
Come on up to The Lakes and treat yourself to a foodie experience based on locally sourced produce and imaginative culinary excellence.
You’re worth it!
