I received this letter a couple of days ago.  We stay in their houses in NYC, Soho (London), Berlin and in the UK countryside and we use their facilities all over the world.

The inside story of your very special membership card

Few members can say that they’ve been with us from the start; from when we first opened the doors to Soho House 40 Greek Street in London to our countryside retreat, Babington House in Somerset, and crossing the ocean as a new kid on the block in the Meatpacking District. Yet, you were there.

More than 20 years ago, you helped us create Soho House and the diverse membership community that we have built and continue to grow today. With Houses in five continents around the world, along with restaurants, bedrooms, spas, workspaces, cinemas and interiors, we’ve evolved with the sole intention of making your membership experience the best it can be.

To thank you for your support over these years, we’ve produced a very special membership card in collaboration with renowned British artist, Sir Peter Blake. It is personalised to you; prominently featuring the first letter of your name taken from a unique alphabet that he has created especially for Soho House.

Considered as the Godfather of British Pop Art, Blake has been making art for more than seven decades. He co-created the cover of the Beatles’ ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ album cover, an artwork enjoyed by millions the world over. Like you, Blake has also been a Soho House member for over 20 years – with artwork that proudly hangs in the original Soho House, which you can find out more about here – and so it seems only fitting for members like him to have a piece of pop-art history in the pocket.

Thank you again for being a long-standing member of Soho House. We couldn’t be prouder that you have chosen to be with us for more than 20 years and hope the card makes you feel the same, too.
