Just arrived back in a wintry Europe – with visits to Manchester, Lisbon and Barcelona all on the schedule last week.

Feeling super refreshed after a week in one of our favourite places – La Samanna in the leeward isle of St Martin.

We’ve been enjoying this wonderful Caribbean institution for over 20 years now – our favourite barman/restauranteur/host Romel is still there – and it just keeps getting better and better – especially now that it’s under Belmond’s control.

Sunny skies, a brilliant sandy beach, Michelin starred restaurant L’Oursin, new Italian beachside trattoria La Spiaggia, amazing water-sports, superb tennis – we never left the resort for seven days of rest and recovery (see KRC 9^th February – Train Hard, Work Hard).
